Boat host(ess) Amsterdam

Sailing the canals, being outside and all the beauty that Amsterdam has to offer in one job. The Rijksmuseum, Leidseplein, the canals, you can see it all from the water. As a boat host(ess) you sail along on the boats or fix the ins and outs at the quay. Sounds good so far?

What are you going to do?

As a boat host(ess) you have a very varied workday. Your job is constantly changing. You can receive passengers at the quay, sell tickets, keep track of the boat schedule and of course sail along. On the boat you take care of the drinks and make the trip an amazing experience for the passengers. You can literally show Amsterdam to hundreds of people a day. In summary, your working day consists of:

• Sell and scan tickets
• Welcoming passengers and helping with questions
• Catering on the boat
• Make sure the shop, the boats and the jetty look great

Locations

Stromma has no less than 11 boarding locations in Amsterdam. All are centrally located and are among the most beautiful places in the city. Think of the Westertoren, Central Station and the Rijksmuseum. On a working day you regularly switch between the locations. Usually it is a short walk, but with the bike you are there in no time!

Working hours

There are three types of shifts:

• Morning shift 8.30 am – 4:30 pm
• Afternoon shift 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm 
• Evening shift 3:30 pm – 11 pm

These times may be different, for example with a group reservation. This is always in consultation. You can easily schedule your shifts in our app.
